Admission At LWIT

General Admission Requirements & Procedures

Note: The following requirements are applicable for all seeking admission into LWIT.

The applicant should be committed follower of Christ having experienced the saving lovd and grace of Jesus Christ. The applicant should believe that the bible is the Word of God and submit to its authority. The applicant should have a clear call for ministry. He/She should have a witnessing life for Christ. Preferaly the applicant should have been involved in the ministry of his or her own church or mission or organization and gained some experience. The applicant should respect the Statement of Faith. All the certificates submitted for admission should be genuine.
All applicants for admission into the Residential programs should appear for an entrance Examination in the following areas:-
1. Scripture knowledge.
2. English.
3. General Knowledge.
The Candidates are interviewed by a panel consisting of Principal, Academic Dean, Director of Spiritual formation & Pastoral care and Faculty concerned.
Applications can be obtained from the Academic Department by paying the prescribed amount either by M.O. or D.D. or can be downloaded and pay the prescribed amount along with the filled in application forms by M.O. or D.D. The filled in application should reach the Principal of LWIT before the 10th of May each year.

Applicants should provide the following documents and letters along with the application

1. Attested Photocopy of all the certificates. (Do not send the original along with the application,but the original will be veriied at the time of admission.)

2. Certificates to prove the date of birth of the candidates.

3. A letter from the Pastor of his or her church stating membership details.

4. A Conduct Certificate from the head of the Institution where last studied.

5. A recommendation letter from a local Christian leader about the interest of the applicant for ministry and training.

6. A financial guarantee letter from the family or sponsor or church / organization to meet the fees.

7. A Medical Certificate of Physical and mental health fitness should be provided.

Immediately after the admissions, students are given orientation on academic program,hostel life , spiritual life, use of library and practical work.
As part of the academic orientation students are given an overview on thesis and research for a period of two weeks.
A requisition letter to the Registrar of the College requesting the application and prospectus is to be sent along with Demand Draft towards the cost of application and prospectus or just dowm load the application and sent the required amount by Demand Draft along with the filled in application form to the Registrar. The name and address of the student should be written clearly along with the pin code. on the reverse side of the D.D. the name of the student and the course applied for should be written.

Tuition fees, hostel fess and mess fess for semester should be paid by all the students at the time of registration. The responsibility of paying the fees is primarily that of a student.If an organization or a parent takes responsibility, it is still the responsibility of the student to see that the fees is paid as prescribed by the college. Scholarships are available for students who demonstrate academic competence, and financially poor.

The following is the key to the Grading system Followed by LMWI

Each student should fulfill all the requirements prescribed by LWIT and clear the fees arrears to get the Course Completion Certificate and the Degree at the Graduation Ceremony.

1. Application forms and prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs. 100/- . The last date to receive the filled in application is 31st of April.

2. Application after the due date will be considered with a late fee of Rs. 50/- up to 28th of May.

3. Each student admitted will be given a Registration number and will be expected to complete program in maximum 5 years from the year of Registration. Extension of one year shall be considered if there is a valid reason and by paying the continuing fees.

1. M.Div. is a residential program conducted on the campus of LWIT. Classes are conducted from Monday to Friday between 8.am to 1.00 pm.

2. Attendance is recorded for each period of classes.

3. Attending the Chapel service and other Practical work is a compulsory requirement and part of the training.

4. During the academic days,students are expected to concentrate on their studies and maintain good marks. Those who do not show interest in studies and fail in the exams will be asked to leave the institution after evaluation.

5. Request for leave to be absent from classes or practical work must be approved by the principal /Academic Dean

6. Exams for the first and second semester will be conducted in November and April respectively. Those who have failed in papers can re-write the exam by paying the fees.

7. Students will be eligible to receive the degree after completing all the requirements and clearing the fees. The faculty evaluation committee will evaluate each student and make recommendation in the Board.
